High Density Aluminum Oxide Flap Disc Type 27 with Hub, Flat Face with fiberglass backing plate are used on most non-ferrous metals, such as aluminium or brass and on ferrous metals where glazing of zirconia disc is a problem. Aluminium Oxide produces a slightly finer finish than a zirconia disc of the same grit.  These discs are used for a wide range of applications such as weld seam removal, surface blending, edge grinding, and weld preparation.
