High Density Aluminum Oxide Flap Disc Type 27, Flat Face with fiberglass backing plate are used on most non-ferrous metals, such as aluminium or brass and on ferrous metals where glazing of zirconia disc is a problem. Aluminium Oxide produces a slightly finer finish than a zirconia disc of the same grit.  These discs are used for a wide range of applications such as weld seam removal, surface blending, edge grinding, and weld preparation.

Extra long life flap disc with up to 60 percent more usable abrasive material, offering:

• Up to double the disc life, resulting in fewer disc changes, less downtime and increased productivity.
• Cushioned effect and softer feel producing a slightly finer finish than a standard density flap disc of the same grit.
